There is no cost to join this class and it is open to all local Jewish high school students.

Complicated Me
How well do you know yourself? Do you know why you think the way you think? Is your personality a product of your upbringing or are you an independent, self-made person? Why do you feel pious one day and heretical the next? These and other questions will be explored as teens discuss and debate what makes us happy, successful, better at relationships, able to cope with stress, and more.

Cash Award:
Teens will be awarded $17 per lesson for a total of $102 at the end of the course.
You must attend at least 5 out of the 6 lessons to earn this award and 1 of the 5 may be on Zoom if you can't make it in person.

We often want one thing and choose another.
What is the reason for our dichotomized identity?
Explore the two forces within you, to align your
reality with the type of person you want to be.
3. February 2, 2025
INDEPENDENT ME
Do you have the power to choose? Are you fated
to be a product of your surroundings? Learn how
to tap into your Intellectual Soul, to transcend
your circumstances, and make choices that reflect who you truly are.
4. February 9, 2025
MESSED UP ME
More toxic than failure is the guilt that
accompanies it. Mistakes are often followed by the
downward spiral of shame. Reframe your failings
to use them as catalysts for growth.
5. February 16, 2025
A BETTER ME
Do you have the power to transform your inner
self? Can your actions alter the person you are
becoming? Work from the outside in, using your
behavior to make foundational, internal shifts.
6. February 23, 2025
A PURPOSEFUL ME
Can pleasure be purposeful? Can purpose be
pleasurable? Learn to bridge the divide between
the cravings of your soul and the noise of your
body.
